Zerriebene Blätter riechen eindeutig nach Knoblauch. Früher Heilpflanze. Heute noch Gewürzpflanze. Vorkommen: Nährstoffreiche, lockere Lehmböden. In Gebüschen, Laub- und Auenwälder und auf Ödland.
