medienarchiv.com is not a photo agency, but primarily an online gallery. The images presented here are also not offered with binding permission for use by third parties.

The images and texts are protected by copyright. Their use by third parties requires prior written approval and is usually subject to a fee. There is no entitlement to permission for use, and such permission may be denied without stating reasons. If a rights holder does not respond to your inquiry, this is considered a refusal.

Please note that many of the documentary photographs shown here are suitable only for editorial use, as model releases are often not available or certain visual elements (brands / logos / artworks) may be legally protected. The clarification of any legal questions regarding the use of the photos is always the responsibility of the specific user, although we are happy to assist where possible.

We do not intend to infringe the rights of others with our image presentation. Should this nevertheless occur, we kindly ask for notification so that we can remove the corresponding photos from the online presentation.

Prints?

From time to time we receive requests for prints for private albums or for digital copies for private use. This involves effort for the authors. Please do not assume that the time or motivation for this is necessarily available. But it never hurts to ask.

Free of charge? No!

Requests for free use for school or other educational purposes must unfortunately be declined. Scanning the photos as well as editing and labeling the files is/was simply too time consuming to distribute them free of charge.

Social networks?

The use of our image material by third parties in social networks is prohibited.
